Garment Care
Caring for your kit properly ensures it lasts longer and performs well. Its best to wash your garments after use and don’t leave them in your kit bag.
We recommend following the care guidelines suggested on the care label of each product.
Here are some detailed care instructions for your reference:
Washing
-
Pre-Wash Care:
- Remove Mud and Debris: Rinse off heavy mud or debris with cold water before washing.
- Turn Inside Out: Turn jerseys and shorts inside out to protect logos and designs.
-
Washing Machine:
- Temperature: Use cold or lukewarm water (30°C max) to prevent shrinking and fabric damage.
- Cycle: Choose a gentle cycle to avoid excessive wear and tear.
- Detergent: Use mild, sports-specific detergent if possible. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach as they can degrade technical fabrics.
- Separating Colors: Wash dark and light colors separately to prevent color bleeding.
-
Hand Washing:
- Soaking: Soak in cold water with a mild sports-specific detergent if possible for a short period.
- Gentle Agitation: Gently agitate the fabric to clean, avoiding scrubbing which can damage the material.
Drying
-
Air Drying:
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Hang items to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area to prevent UV damage and color fading.
- Flat Drying: Lay flat to dry to maintain shape and prevent stretching.
-
Avoiding Heat:
- No Tumble Drying: Avoid using a dryer as the heat can shrink and damage the fabric.
- Ironing: It is recommended you follow the ironing settings as stated on the care label. The ironing symbols below advise the correct temperature to iron.
